Schunk is happy about your visit to our website and your interest in our company and products. We take the protection of your private data seriously and want you to feel comfortable visiting our Internet sites. Protecting your private sphere while processing personal data is an important matter to us, one which we take into account while carrying out our business processes. We process personal data ascertained during visits to our websites in accordance with the data-protection regulations of the country in which the authority responsible for data processing is located. Our data-protection policy also conforms with the corporate data-protection guidelines which apply for Schunk.
Schunk Websites may contain links to the websites of other suppliers not covered by this data-protection declaration.

When you visit our website, our web servers save, by default and among other things, information on the browser and operating system you are using, the website from which you are visiting us, those of our websites which you are visiting, the date of the visit and, for security reasons (e.g. for the identification of attacks against our website, and for a period of 7 days), the IP address which was assigned to you by your Internet service provider. With the exception of the IP address, personal data is only saved if you enter it for registration purposes, a survey, a contest or to execute a contract, for example.
Use and disclosure of personal data and appropriation
Schunk only uses your personal data for the purposes of technical administration of the website, customer management, product surveys and marketing to the extent required.
Personal data may only be passed on to government institutions and authorities within the framework of binding national law. We obligate our employees, agencies and dealers to maintain confidentiality.
Choice
We would like to use your data to inform you of our products and services and potentially to ask you about them as well. Naturally, any participation in such actions is voluntary. Should you not be in agreement with this, you can notify us of this at any time so that we can block the data accordingly. Additional information can be found on the respective website.
Cookies
Information on the cookies we use and their functions can be found in our cookie notice.
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web-analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies," i.e. text files saved on your computer which enable the analysis of website use by you (comp. above). Information on your use of this website generated by the cookie is generally transferred to and saved on a Google server in the US. Should IP anonymization be activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated beforehand by Google if you are within member states of the European Union or other contracting states to the agreement on the European Economic Area, however. Only in exceptional cases would the entire IP address be transferred to a Google server in the US and truncated there. IP anonymization is active on this website. Under the authority of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website so that reports may be compiled on website activity and to provide additional services associated with website use and Internet use to the website operator. The IP address transferred from your browser for Google Analytics is not combined with any other data by Google. You can prevent the saving of cookies by making the corresponding setting in your browser software. We would like to point out, however, that you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to the fullest extent in this case. You can prevent data collection by Google Analytics by clicking the following link.

An opt-out cookie which prevents the future collection of your data while visiting this website will be set. Matomo (formerly: PIWIK)
In our website we use Matomo (formerly: "PIWIK"). This is open-source software with which we can analyze the use of our Internet presence. Your IP address, the website(s) of our Internet presence that you visit, the website from which you switched to our Internet presence (referrer URL), the duration of your visit to our Internet presence and the frequency with which you visit one of our websites are processed. Matomo stores a cookie on your device via your Internet browser to collect this data. This cookie is valid for one week. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis and optimization of our Internet presence. However, we use Matomo with the anonymization function "Automatically Anonymize Visitor IPs". This anonymization function shortens your IP address by two bytes so that it is impossible to assign it to you or to the Internet connection you are using. If you do not agree to this processing, you have the option of preventing the storage of the cookie by setting it in your Internet browser. You will find more detailed information on this under "Cookies" above. In addition, you have the option of terminating the analysis of your usage behavior by opting out. By confirming the link a cookie is stored on your end device via your Internet browser, which prevents further analysis. Please note, however, that you must click the above link again if you delete the cookies stored on your end device.
Marketing and Re-Targeting
Personalized Information
Our websites make use of so-called re-targeting technologies. We use these technologies to make our internet offers more interesting for you. This technique allows internet users who have already shown an interest in our services to be provided with tailored information on the websites of our partners and other third parties. The use of this marketing approach by our partners is undertaken on the basis of a cookie technology and an analysis of previous user behavior.
LinkedIn Website Re-targeting
Schunk is using the remarketing tool (Website Re-targeting) provided by LinkedIn Inc. LinkedIn installs a simple piece of code to our website that places a cookie onto the browser of our website visitors. Through LinkedIn's conversion tracking and website-demographic features, Schunk can understand what happens after a LinkedIn user clicks on our ad by using analytic methods and systems provided by LinkedIn that allow us to send data to LinkedIn and its affiliates about actions that people take on our websites or mobile applications ("Event Data"). We use this service to provide you with targeted information regarding services and events of Schunk. LinkedIn and Schunk both adhere to the relevant EU data-protection law. Schunk does not receive any personally identifiable data from LinkedIn, but will only receive aggregated, fully de-identified information regarding our customers and users. Schunk does not provide LinkedIn with personally identifiable data from our central operational IT systems (such as CRM or CSV data). For more details, please consult the specific terms and conditions on the LinkedIn website: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/conversion-tracking
For the general privacy policy of LinkedIn, please consult the website of LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy
For a more detailed information on the opt-out policy of LinkedIn, please consult the specific information provided on the website of LinkedIn:

If you would like to opt out the use of your data for re-targeting, online-behavioral advertising or interest-based advertising, Schunk will honor any such opt-outs without any undue delay. You may block cookies, change the settings of your browser add-ons, or contact us for further guidance and help.
Right to be informed
Upon request, Schunk or the representative responsible for you will notify you in writing of whether, and which, personal data about you is saved in our systems as soon as possible in accordance with the applicable law. If you are registered as a user, we also offer you the option of viewing the data yourself and deleting or modifying it if necessary. Should incorrect information be saved despite our efforts to ensure data correctness and up-to-dateness, we will correct it upon your request. Should you have questions regarding the processing of your personal data, you can contact our corporate compliance officer for data protection, who is also available to you for information requests, suggestions and complaints.
